Ayshire Cancer Support is selling a fundraiser 2009 Calendar with beautiful views of Ayrshire produced to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns.  All photographs in the calendar relate to Robert Burns in Ayrshire and each one is accompanied by an appropriate line of verse. May 14 - Citizens for the Classics Spring Meeting, 7:00 p.m., Yorktown High School Faculty Lounge, 5201 N. 28th St., Arlington, VA 22207.  Our agenda will include the following items:
  Latin curriculum in Arlington Public Schools.  Guest speakers are: Mary Ann Ullrich, Supervisor, Foreign Language Office, Arlington Public Schools, and Kevin Gushman, Latin Teacher, Yorktown High School
  Election of officers for  2008-2009.  Self-nominations (i.e. volunteers) are welcome and needed.  Your Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer have each served CFTC for many years.  Each would be delighted if some fresh face would volunteer for his/her job.  (Your President is a newcomer.)
  CFTC's table at the Arlington County Fair, 7-10 August 2008.  We need 2 or 3 hours of your time at the Fair to make this a success!
  Park in the parking lot along N. 28th St., enter at the main entrance, then turn right.  The Faculty Lounge is on the left of the hallway, opposite the main office.  Our SPQR banner will be at the lounge door.  Ann Hafer, President
