There is even a hill right next to the fishing pond that has an amazing view of everything around it. This park is something everyone in the family will enjoy!
One great place to start your adventure through McKinney Wilson Park would be at the playgrounds. The first one located on the north side of the main road going through the park is a wooden structure with chimes, slides, climbing areas, and even a set of monkey bars. The second playground is located on the west side near the picnic pavilion and it also has a slide, railing climber, and swings for those who prefer their entertainment to come in the form of sitting down.
The fishing hole is a great spot for any angler to spend his/her afternoon, but there are some rules and regulations that need to be followed. These rules include no throwing litter into the water or leaving it anywhere on the ground after you’re done. You also can’t use live wells or natural bait such as worms. Lastly, you have to abide by the number of fish you can catch. You can have six bass or sunfish at a time, only two being longer than 15 inches. There are also rules for what you’re allowed to use as bait and fishing rods, so if you’re planning on going out for a nice afternoon of fishing, there is a lot of useful information you need to know before you get started.
